AnueNue - The Brand New 100 Year Old Moonbird?
Просмотров 1,8 тыс.9 часов назад
Hey folks, this week I have the pleasure of comparing the modern classic AnueNue Moonbird UT200 Tenor to the updated UT-330 model which has an artificially aged (torrefied) Spruce top. Given that the Torrefied wood top adds an extra 20% to the price of the instrument, do you think it's a worthy upgrade? I personally prefered the sound of the UT-330 after playing them back to back, sometimes dif...

    Everything you play Alex always sounds great! I am a huge fan of Romero Creations! I started with a 6 string Koa tiny tenor, then realized I needed something smaller for traveling and got a mahogany XS soprano. Both are amazing insturments, that have so much resonance. I wanted a tenor, and tried several other brands, but they didn't have that Romero sound! My final selection was a Classic tenor with a cedar top. Maybe it was my love for classical guitar that my ear favored the Romeros!

I live in Essex and can't find a store locally that specialises (or even sells) Ukulele's for me to try out. Could you recommend a nice warm sounding Uke around the £150 mark that might suit me until I know whether I can get on with the fingering? • @TheIronDuke9

    Is high D a common tuning for baritone? As in high D GBE? I've tried playing low G on my tenor but the re-entrant tuning is what made me want to play the instrument in the first place so I switched back. Plus I don't like the idea that I've spent so many years learning to play high g cords on my tenor and now as I understand it if I want to switch to baritone the cords are all different. Like I know to play a C cord I put one finger on the A string on the 3rd fret - but I think that all changes with a baritone so it doesn't sound like it's an easy switch to make, not like going from a soprano to a concert, for example

    • @SouthernUkuleleStore

      It isn't common but it does happen. There are strings readily available for it and it sounds cool!

    • @ianwalker682
      @ianwalker682 11 дней назад

      Switching to a baritone is not as difficult as you might think. While the chord names will change, you will still use all of the same chord shapes. In my opinion, learning the chord shapes was more difficult to get down than switching between a tenor and a baritone. Either way, happy playing, the ukulele always puts a smile on my face.
